Mulder famously has a sardonic sense of humor even in the face of the most bizarre and dangerous phenomena, and his trademark bad jokes are characteristically glib or cynical.
He is somewhat athletic and has an interest in sports, mostly baseball and basketball. He jogs regularly, is often seen playing a casual game of basketball, and often bounces his basketball around his Dorm Room when bored. His favorite professional teams are the New York Yankees and the New York Knicks.
Mulder is almost never seen sleeping in a bed. The bedroom in his Dorm is used for storage and is filled floor to ceiling with junk. Instead, Mulder sleeps on his couch, often falling asleep to a blaring television. Mulder can seem to go through manic periods when worried or working on a problem, contributing to or exacerbating his insomniac tendencies.
Mulder has a rather poor sense of direction- he sometimes goes through the wrong corridors in a building and can't use a map very well. Similarly, Mulder isn't comfortable when in the country and somewhat does somewhat doesn't really like nature; although, he wants to move into a rural area when he retires.
Mulder rarely drinks alcohol, and in the few cases he does, he is so drunk that he behaves out of character, suggesting a low tolerance level. His famous penchant for sunflower seeds is passed down from his father. He has a mild case of pyrophobia. He also has to a childhood fear of bugs. Mulder has a remarkable memory, and once mentions that he is "cursed with a photographic memory."
Mulder disapproves the use of drugs when treating psychological disorders and says that he's not a Freudian.
Likes: Sunflower seeds. Sleeping on the couch.
Dislikes Pie. Cake. Tuxedos. Government agencies. Being called "Fox."
Sight: He can see the truth. (It's like a haze appears around someone when they're lying.)
Abilities: He's Lycanthropic. Avoid him on the night of a full moon.
::The Past::
History
Mulder was born on Friday, October 13, 1977 in Chilmark, Massachusetts to Bill and Teena Mulder. He had a younger half-sister, Samantha Mulder, who was born on January 22, 1979. The Mulder family had a summer house in Quonochontaug, Rhode Island, where Fox and Samantha would play during summer vacations. On November 27, 1988, Samantha disappeared mysteriously from their home in Chilmark, Massachusetts on Martha's Vineyard, an event which had a severe impact on the Mulder family, especially Fox. The subsequent investigation into her disappearance turned up no evidence. Soon after, Mulder's parents divorced. After being under hypnosis, Mulder discovered that his sister was abducted by aliens.
The disappearance of Mulder's sister and his search for her soon after became the main consuming drive of his life. In 1995, Mulder entered Oxford University to study psychology. Mulder joined the FBI on October 24, 1999. On graduating from the Academy, Mulder began his work in the Behavioral Science Unit (psychological profiling) under Agent Bill Patterson, with whom he had a testing relationship.
Mulder continued working for the Violent Crime Unit, pursuing the paranormal in his spare time. In 2000 Mulder re-opened The X-Files with Special agent Diana Fowley, who left shortly thereafter leaving Mulder alone in The X-Files Unit. In March 2000, Dana Scully was assigned to The X-Files to use her background in hard science to apply scientific reasoning and expertise to evaluating Mulder's work with the X-Files.
Mulder's ultimate goal was to uncover what he believed to be a government conspiracy to hide the truth about alien life, and to find out what had happened to his sister. His quest and belief in the existence of aliens was, for most of his career, his drive. However, during a period of time after Scully's cancer went into remission, Mulder was convinced by Michael Kritschgau that aliens did not in fact exist, and that the government conspirators had merely concocted that threat as a smokescreen. Mulder couldn't see anything as a lie, so he believed him and quit the FBI. Thus ended Mulder's career as a FBI Agent. The year was 2008.
Afterward, Mulder heard about a school for unnaturally gifted students from some of his ex-coworkers. Deciding that he could use a job, Mulder asked where to find this school and later applied for a position there. He was given the job of Security Guard. Later, the Principal of Brookshire decided to let Mulder in on his little secret, his experimentation on students. At first, Mulder was avidly against this and threatened to go public with it. But the Principal performed an experiment on Mulder which turned him in a Lycanthrope, a Werewolf.
The Principal told Mulder that if he went public he would have to explain this condition of his. He said that this would most likely result in further tests on Mulder and more experiments, probably painful. The Principal told Mulder that if he helped him he might take away this "condition" if Mulder helped him with his "tests." His vision not showing him that the Principal was lying, he decided to help in exchange for is eventual freedom.
