Magnum enjoys being free. In fact, he hates The Company, but feels that it is a necessary sacrifice of one person's freedom for the many. He hates the incompetent and loathes those who complain about being poor. History
Born to a rich family... No wait, rich doesn't quite describe it... Uh, rich as in actually comparable to Bill Gates or Sam Walton kind of rich. So, thanks to that he had a very sheltered childhood until he decided to escape. He knew he was being shielded from the dangers of life but he felt that he needed to experience them. So he did and he ended up taking a drug that made him think he could fly. Usually this would be bad, but in this case it was true. He could fly.
Magnum realized that the drug was bad, but he was special. He could fly. So, he sought out a place that would help him control his powers. He found one before finding out about Brookshire. They trained him, taught him to kill, and eventually, after convincing him that many other people were misusing their powers, turned him into a Hunter. As a member of The Company, his purpose is not to kill, just to tag and bag.
He was 10.
During one mission he was sent to a school kill to someone out who was supposed to be too strong. He ended up killing her, but not before his trust in The Company was seriously rattled.
Now he is at Brookshire, further learning and hunting down those that he is told to deal with. His current target: No one. He is just told to wait on recon.
