It was officially the first day of school.
A small alarm clock, perched close to the edge of larger side table, was flashing a neon red, 12:00, over and over. And the young man sitting beside it was glaring at it. Another year. Another pain in my ass." Jasper sighed, hopping from his almost perfect bed, and stalking over to the large open window. His roommates were fast asleep, and he was suffering from another case of insomnia. But, he was anything but bored. Jasper had taken it upon himself to dip into the others heads to see what they were dreaming, and between Jeremy's ale and blond filled mind, and Lux's raining gelato and shiny sports car fantasy, Jasper felt safe to say he was rooming with weirdos.
Exceptional weirdos at that.
He sighed, placed his hands on the cold windowsill and counted the dark shadows on the balcony. Grr. Just some sleep. That's all I wan- A tingling pressure perked in Jasper's head, he winced, closing his eyes as images flashed through his mind. A young girl, dirty, confused, wide-eyed, panicking. Another, broken, bruised, crawling through mud and mold to silence the first girl, telling her to stop beating at the bars... It's useless...
Jasper shook his head. Lowering his gaze as he scratched the back of his neck and focused on counting the shadows once more.
Six stories below Jasper. Surrounded in five feet of stone, two feet of reinforced titanium and some rickety old wooden studs, a lone figure stood before a metal stretcher. Glasses, vials, and flasks graced the walls, sitting upon shelves and counters that glowed in the dim light provided. His face was shadowed, yet his eyes seemed to shine, with small, slow movements he inched closer to the stretcher and the young girl strapped to it. His lips moved up into a small smile, his arms crossing behind his back as he leaned over the table.
Inspecting. Criticizing.
It was perfect, he could feel the energy flowing around her. She was good, pure, clean, perfect. Wonderful. Simply, wonderful. Osamu couldn't help himself, he lowered his body closer to her, his face still shadowed as one, cold hand reached up to brush a few strands of hair across pale skin. She stirs, he smiles. Even better.
Her eyes grow huge, she's scared, uncertain. She struggles against the straps that bind her. Osamu simply chuckles lightly to himself. "No use." He whispers, leaning up once more to glance at the concoction he has flowing into her. He wonders, how will she react? Will she writhe in pain, enjoy it, be too numb to feel it? Will she scream?
He loved it when they screamed. Served them right for being such... Freaks.
How did I end up here? I was in bed a few minutes ago... I think... Her sight was fuzzy, foggy, a slow numbness was crawling through her body, and Brie could feel everyone of her bones go numb. That's not natural. There was a mask strapped over her mouth a nose. Needles sticking out of her arm, injecting her with morphine, and... Something green. What's going on? She can taste the anesthesia. She knows he's trying to get her to sleep, that shadowed man.
He says something, but she can't hear. Instead, she focuses, concentrates. Kolby... She reaches for her brother's mind, but she's too weak, can't quite reach him... Kolby!
[/i] Stronger now, the morphine isn't weakening her mind, though it's trying. Screw this Brie! Break Free! She struggles, fails, he's turning up the morphine. Damn it! Kolby! Then, that dark figure steps forwards, he's approaching her, Brie's eyes grow wider, her body already starting to panic. He leans, closer to the light, closer to the... H-Headmaster..? Suddenly her fear is replaced with stark cold terror. He smiles, his teeth glinting in the dim lamp light over her. He opens his mouth, speaks, and Brie blacks out with one thought on her mind. "[colorE94A3C]Go ahead and scream. No one can hear you.[/color]" KOBLY!They stand in the shadows. Clenching fists as they debate on what to do. Watch the Headmaster. That was their job. Watch. Don't interfere. Allow this sick, twisted man to continue on with his own enjoyment. While children die. Die. Mike glances at his best friend. Silently the two exchange words. They know what to do, what to say, how to say it. They play the fools, they pretend to feel the same way as the Headmaster. They pretend to be his friend. But in the end. It'll be him that the two will have to take down. Osamu will have to die. But for now the two have to watch. To wait. To clench their jaws as they fight their natural instinct to help the young girl on the table. " Brie Ainsworth..." Mike whispers softly to his friend, " Physics. Bright girl." Sam responds, finally unable to watch anymore and having to turn away. Wait. Watch. Inform. " KOLBY!" Her body lurches forwards. Her mouth open in a perfect O as Haevyn screams her friends name. Forehead beaded in sweat she waits. A dream, a vision. " Brie..." Softer this time. But none the less, Vynny leaps from her bed, forgetting the rules and bursting through Brie's door not even a second later. Helps to have some extra speed. She stops at Brie's bedside, her heart pounding in fear, uncertainty. That dream. Oh Brie, where the hell are you?[/i]. " Vynny?" Cael lifts her head up from her smothered pillow, raising a tired brow as she stares at the busted dorm door and the pale, scared looking girl standing at Brie's bedside. " Hon, what's the matter?" The blond doesn't wait for a reply, instead she sends her own mind's waves into the terrified girl, reads her thoughts, sees the images replaying in her head, and gasps softly herself. Vynny turns to glance at her, but doesn't remark. Somethings don't have to be said, in order to be known. " Where is she? Vynny steps forwards, nearly collapsing on Brie's bed as she tries to think. Cael on the other hand gets to work, sending out her brain waves to find her missing roommate. Nothing. Nothing. Now, a boy, upstairs, with the same images as Vynny. What is going on around here?KOLBY!Ehhh... Go away. Lemme sleep.... ... ... ... " Brie!" Kolby shook himself awake, uncertain of why he was suddenly feeling sick, confused. Brie? He reached out to her, trying to find that same, familiar mental path that he always felt... But, nothing. And it worried him, sickened him.Trying to detangle himself from his covers, Kolby fell on the floor, but not even the cold tile floor, the loud thud he caused, or the fact that his knee was now throbbing would stop him. Jumping to his feet, Jay-Jay, clamored out of his bedroom, nearly taking the door out as he burst through it, the main dorm room, and stumbled his way up the flight of stairs. Kolby reached the Girl Room's head door, pushed the keys and hard as he dared to gain access and tugged at the door until he finally heard the click. Speeding past the rest of the dorms without even a second thought, he entered Brie's room, breathing heavily and still half naked. " Where's Brie!" He doesn't see past the empty bed, doesn't see the others standing around. Kolby only sees the mess left behind. He's called out to her, the entire time he flew up the stairs he tried to contact her, to touch her mind. But she was gone, closed off. Behind him tow other boys enter. He's seen them before, Jasper and Jeremy. Neither of them speak, Vynny simply looks up at him, and Cael curls farther under her covers with these strange men around. Then. Three simply words. Three words that send shivers down the spines of most everyone in the room. " It's happening again." Jeremy whispers past his thick Dutch accent, glancing down as he scratches the back of his head. It's. Happening. Again. Tonight was just not going to be a good night. Tanya had been woken up by a horrible dream. One involving a girl she knew. A student... A vision? She was positive. And the ending of that dream wasn't a happy one... Sighing, Tawny hopped out of her bed, grabbed her robe and tightened it around her as she stepped from her bedroom. Walking down the hall she stopped just before the main entrance to the teacher's dorms and let a smile grow on her face. Standing outside of her favorite teacher's dorm. Knocking she spoke loudly enough for only Greg to hear. " Wakey, wakey, Sunshine. We've got a situation in the dorms."
No posting order. I don't want two people going off on there own either, so make sure everyone gets a chance to post, 'kay? No one knows where Osamu, Kato, or Mike&&Sam are, except for those already in the basements. In other words, Security Guards. If you post something that's totally random, doesn't go along with the basic story line I'm trying to set up here, or if you're God-Modding, or being way too omniscient, I'll delete your post. [shadow=Black,left,600]{Angelus}[/shadow]
He woke up to the sound of Raining Blood by Slayer blaring in his ears and a shoujo manga on his face. He threw the manga off his face and got up. It was the first day of school, blegh. "Why? Why did it arrive so soon?" He asked God as he got up, threw on some clothes and headed out the door towards the cafeteria, he needed his coffee. Angelus sat quietly to himself, reading a manga and drinking a fine cut of coffee. "I have a bad feeling about today. Something might happen. I almost hope something does happen." Angelus spoke quietly to himself with a sip of his cafe mocha.
He put his headphones in his ears and started listening to Suga Shikao's 19sai. He had it blaring so no one would disturb him. Angelus bought a small bun for breakfast and nibbled on that here and there.
[shadow=Blue,left,600]{Ongaku/Gakupo}[/shadow]
Gakupo sprung up when his alarm went off and threw on his usual attire, sword and all. He loved this time of year mainly because he got to meet his new students and possable friends for the year. It also meant that he was gonna get to have lots and lots of fun. He grabbed his cut of green tea and drank it down in one drink.
Gakupo took a step out of his room and noticed that he almost forgot to eat. He grabbed a bento off the counter and ran off to his class rooms, he had to get set up. He was excited, he'd might get to meet the other teachers.
[shadow=black,left,600]{Matsumoto/Exusia}[/shadow]
Exusia awoke at the feeling of his mind yelling at him, telling him to go feed. He hadn't drank any blood in about 12 hours, not good. He jumped to his feet and grabbed a blood bag out from underneath his bed. The vampiric boy drank the entire bag in almost no time what-so-ever, and it was not a small bag. He wiped his mouth and threw the bag in his personal trash can. "Much better......I wouldn't have lasted much longer." He said to himself quietly enough to not disturb anyone.
"I swore that something important was happening today.....Oh yeah.....First day of school....Damn." Exusia said to himself depressingly as he threw on his black dress shirt, sleeves rolled up, black jeans, and biker boots. He topped his attire with the perfect piece, his trench coat. He started out of the room when he caught a glimpse of himself in a mirror. "I cannont believe I almost forgot my make up. Stupid."
The nightsman walked to his bed, grabbed his make up bag and took the 30 minutes to do his hair perfectly and his make up. Matsumoto finished relatively fast, for him atleast, so he began his day by going smoke. He sat to himself, thinking about his day and what it would be like, and smoking. He saw an overly excited samurai man skipping towards the teachers lounge, and a depressing kid eating alone, reading a manga. "Damn, not many people are out.....Was that guy dressed like a samurai? Why?" Exusia spoke to himself a lot, especially in the morning.
[shadow=red,left,600]{Virgil}[/shadow]
Virgil was up and at it very early in the morning, in fact today he was on the roof training. He "faught" training dummies that he made for cheap from wood and steel. His mighty spear cut through them as if they were paper. He took a break to watch the sun rise, leaning on his spear slightly, he stared at the amazing sun rise. Beautiful. "If only I had a woman here, this would be amazing. Meh, I'll wind up getting one sooner or later." He waved off his thoughts of lust and women so he could focus on destroying these last few dummies. He spun his spear in a whirlwind like pattern and demolished the last few dummies. Too easy. His sweat glisened in the morning sun as he put up his spear and walked to the shower.
"Isn't today the first day of school? I think it is. Maybe my girlfriend problems can be solved very very soon." He laughed to himself as he scrubbed his long blonde hair. He finished and walked back to his room, feeling safe enough in his manhood to walk back in just his towel. Virgil threw on his favorite attire, crimson dress shirt, dark blue jeans, black loafers, and his black blazer.
He hid his dagger on his belt and headed to go eat. He started eating his favorite food, eggs over easy, toast, and coffee. Yum.

Danny [/font][/center] You know that feeling, where you're only half-awake, and your mind hasn't quite worked out what's dreamworld, and what's actually there? Well, it's even worse when you're blind, because you can't snap your eyes open and correct the images in your head. You just have to go on sounds, and smells, and stuff like that. Oh, and when your alarm unexpectedly goes off as the sound of an air-raid siren next to your head, well, that doesn't help matters. I leap out of bed, bellowing a curse, followed by the slurred, immortal words, "Nuh uh! Stranger Danger!" My ears ring uncomfortably with the aftershock. Can't hear echoes, can't maneuver. Good thing I thought to work out my room's layout beforehand. I can't hear my roommate as I grope for the still-shrieking alarm, so I have to hope he's either asleep or elsewhere. Both cases which involve him not hearing me. I find the alarm, but can't find the off button. Wonderful. Somehow, my clumsy fingers find the battery casing, and flip the cover. Something papery falls onto my fingers. I prise out the offending cylinders, and crumple the paper, scowling. I already know what it will say. My mother has a wicked sense of humour. I'm starting to like the idea of boarding school even more. I thump down onto the bed with a low, pitiful groan. But, the damage is done. I'm awake now. Might as well get ready for school, even though my internal clock states that it's too early, and tries to coax me to sleep. No can do. My nerves are too shot now. I sigh, grumbling about how overenthusiastic, meddling parents should be illegal, and wander to the half-packed cupboard. About ten minutes later, I wander down the corridor in my favourite Jethro Tull t-shirt and average jeans. I need them kind of skinny since my recent run-in with my mother's friends' cooking. 'Friend' being an operative word. I would be sulking in my room, tuning my repaired violin or something, but something strikes me as odd. I can't hear half the members of the dorm. Because they're not there. Their sound-trails lead to the girl's dorm. An early-morning orgy? I rather doubt it. There's a sound in the school. A scared, tense, run-now-while-you-still-have-both-legs kind of sound. It creeps me out. So, of course, I follow the sound-trails. Rather with the group than a loner guy, I guess. I find them in the girls' dorms. I'm pretty sure that's not allowed, actually, and wonder briefly how they got in. But that thought doesn't last long. There's panic, horror, fear, loss. A girl is gone. "What's going on?" I ask the nearest person I can grab, who seems to be female. I curse myself, irrationally, for being new. Everyone else seems almost... Familiar with this. Maybe boarding school isn't such a great thing...

Carter sprinted up the steps, he had heard the screams coming from the Girl's dorms. He had been outside, running early in the morning, and used his inertial control to increase his speed, sending him farther with each little motion. Carter burst through the doors holding each flight of stairs, and bumped into the monitors. "Hey, what's going on, I heard screams" Carter paused, and tensed, waiting for a scream to dash off. Once again, everything was going wrong, and it was really time for his coffee.
Carter grunted, and ran off, yet again, knocking on the door the screaming had been coming from. "Hey, everything all right in there? I heard screaming Carter's gruff voice growled through the door as he impatiently knocked, and tapped his foot, mentally singing It's my life, by Bon Jovi, his favorite song.

“GAAAAAAAAHHH!”
A scream.
“Oh, no. Ohhh, no!”
A shout.
Wha-what!? Lux, what's wrong with you!?!?
A panic.
“Just what the heck is going on?”
A hell-hole.
“But it's too early for this!”
An ass.
The change began as soon as Jeremy fled the room with Jasper, the lurid commotion waking up Diesel in the process. Horrible, contorted shouts imploded within tiny dorm number five. Diesel was half awake and half asleep, not quite up and running even with Lux's screams pricking his senses. He'd fallen onto the floor, possible due to a subliminal response to the tangle of events within the very walls of the school. Othello was locked up within the bathroom and his barks came out muffled and panicked, each one more severe than the last as he hoped the world outside the door was alright.
It wasn't.
Finally lurching himself awake from sleep, Diesel stared wide-eyed at Lux. Despite the striped pajamas, he was fully awake (or so it seemed) and was ransacking anything and everything within the room. Bedsheets, pillows, things off the shelves and even sandals and other things were already strewn about. But then something worse happened. He heard a low mumble from Lux, who was glaring daggers at everything in the room, not facing Diesel in the slightest. Diesel, immediately baffled out of his mind, made the mistake of walking up to Lux and poking him in the shoulder, just like that first day...
“Get...away...” The words were hard to make out; they sounded forced and welded with hate. He wasn't speaking with his accent...it was...normal. This wasn't Lux.
As if possessed, he swung around, fist pitched tight behind him...
CRACK!
It was like a ray of lightning shot from a clear sky. Diesel didn't react. Or rather, didn't have enough time to do so.
Things fogged up as if he were going to sleep again... Lux resumed his rampage, screaming murder as he did so... His peripheral vision was fading, dimming, going black... The sounds of Othello's barking were slowed down and dulled... He couldn't keep his eyes open much longer.
Othello!
And then the light was gone.
One lazy eye opened. “Eh? Hae-Haevyn! What're you doing here?” She scratched the side of her head. Looking wide-eyed at Brie's empty bed, Sylvie guessed things weren't fine.
“Hey...Where's Brie...?”
“But mommy, it's not time for school!” he teased.
Greg wasn't asleep. Just a “rawking jerk,” is all.
His room was freezing, and it took him more time to actually get up from the bed than walk from the bedroom area to the door. He unlocked the four (or five) locks and opened it a creak to see his favorite nuisance of all: Tanya. Sighing, he trod out the door lazily, and barefoot, not caring about anything at the moment in the slightest. Greg locked the door behind him, and put the keys in his pajama pocket.
“Don't tell me it's Kato again...”
Gizzy was already up and about, and stood by Tanya, trying to resist the urge to smack the Humanities teacher right across the face. Instead of doing exactly that, she softened her face and molded it into one of concern, despite the fruitful dyes in her hair. “Greg...it's an emergency.”
Every inch of the chaos that was Brookshire Academy seemed to have slithered its way into the senses, the emotions, the fears and the pains of each being within it. Save the one named Osamu, the cause of it all.
I wished I'd made it include everyone, but it was much too late when I finished this. I wish I'd added some more dialogue, especially with Gizzy and Diesel, even if his were only going to be thoughts. I didn't try hard enough with Greg's bit of the post (no muse, it ran away). Not much could be said with Sylvie's, except for what she did say.
If you didn't get the hint right where it says "CRACK," Lux just KO'ed Diesel with a wild punch. And for what reason, exactly? More to be revealed with my next post...
Meh, I like it though.

Since we're all getting confused... >->
CURRENT TIME: 2:48 AM
"Meep!" Haevyn squeaked as yet another boy clamored into their dorm. Oh, we are going to be in sooo much trouble... But no time to worry about that, she balanced herself, wrapping one hand around the arm of the boy who had bumped into her to steady him as well. "Goodness me. Mon dieu. Sorry, I probably shouldn't be standing in the middle of the road like that." Which was true, she hadn't moved from her spot, just inside the door of Brie's dorm, since she stopped here. Yet the other boys and random girls had seemed to find their way around her well enough... But Vynny could tell, from the flashes of images she was getting from this new boy, that he was having difficulties.
No matter. "Uhm. My friend, erm, Brie. She's... She's missing. I think. Well, I know. I don't know how I know. But she's just... Gone..." Haevyn slowly curled up inside herself, her arms crossing in front of her chest as she closed her eyes again. Brie wasn't here for her to touch, so she was going to have to try extremely hard to get a least an image of her... Anything... Why couldn't she see the future... Damn it.
Moving along the wall she stopped just beside Brie's bed, where Kolby stood staring at the bright purple sheets and comforter. "At least we know she came to bed." Haevyn whispered softly, hoping to help ease, Kolby's mind. It didn't work. And instead, Kolby glared up at her, nearly snarling as he tried to figure everything out. But Vynny didn't have long to dwell on Kolby's frown before she heard another voice call to her.
"Sylvie..." She stared blankly at her for a moment before shaking her head, blinking and standing up to walk over to her. "I-I don't know. I just had this horrible... Dream. And I came in here to check, Brie was gone and then suddenly a bunch of boys were clamoring their way in here. I-I don't understand it... But, something is wrong."
- - - - - - - - - - - - -
Do you think it's Kato? "It could be." Stop being a jerk for five minutes, Jasper and answer the damn question. "Or what, big boy? What are you going to do to me?" "I'll sing It's A Small World in German every damn day and night until you do." "Empty threats." ES IST EINE KLEINE WELT NACH ALLE! ES IST EINE KLEINE WELT AL- "ALRIGHT! I get it. Damn. Shut the hell up." Jasper yelled as he smacked Jeremy's arm, which is more of a gentle tap to the German, but in any case, it drew attention from the rest of the crowd. Considering Jeremy was thinking, and Jasper was yelling. "Yes. I think it was Kato. I'm not positive, but, there was just... Something." This time his voice came out just above a whisper, his body moving closer to Jeremy, only because he didn't want anyone else to hear, not because he wanted to get cuddly with the brute.
Something?
Jeremy's question was answered with a glare, and the taller boy stepped back in defeat, a large, pearly white smile on his face. "Alright, alright. I get it." He mocked his roomie and motioned for him to follow. Jeremy slowly made his way back to the dorm door, glancing over his shoulder, to make sure Jasper was following, before he quickly dashed out and made his way back to the main doors. Jasper followed, moving just as quickly, making it to the main door before he was stopped in his tracks.
What the hell are you boys doing? It wasn't said out loud. It was.... a thought? Yoohoo? Tall, dark and grumpy. Yeah, I'm talking to you. What the Fawk? Jasper turned back towards Brie's dorm with a confused look on his features. It's not polite to curse in the presence of a lady. Before him stood an angry looking blond, on the shorter side, kind of frum- I can read your thoughts you jerk. And I know you can read mine. So, Cael had been eavesdropping on the two boys in the corner. He'd been the boy who had the visions in his head earlier. You can stay out of my mind.
"Well, sorry. It's hard to not mind jump with all these people around. Anyways. Like I asked, what are you two doing?"
Jasper...?
An exasperated sigh escaped Jasper's lips as he glanced outside the dorm door to see Jeremy waiting. But, before he even had the chance to look back at the chick she was squeezing by him into the grand hall.
Who's this?
"I'm god. And I want in on whatever it is you have planned... Jeremy, right?" Cael smiled, one of her smug, over-confident smiles, and took a gander over her shoulder at Jasper. You coming or what?
"LOL. God, you are not. But if you want to tag-along, bring it. But we have to hurry. Die lehrer are coming." Jeremy waved his hand, hopped the banner and landed on his feet almost over halfway down. Cael dashed to the wooden banister, gasping as she looked down at him, wondering just what the hell he was thinking. Jasper on the other hand, simply hurried past her, show off. And made a beeline for the boys dorm before he got caught, Cael just a few seconds behind him.
"LUX!" Cael heard the German exclaim as he disappeared in one of the dorm doors, Jasper stopping her from moving any farther towards the dorm where all she could hear was shuffling.

"I'm younger then you." Was all Tanya mumbled as Greg slowly made his way out of his room. She wasn't used to being up this early in the morning, but was glad when Gizzy turned up beside her. Thank you God. I won't have to deal with this man by myself.. She choose to ignore his question at first, not entirely sure if she should answer or not.
On one hand she could say no, keep it a secret and be personally responsible for the possible death of another student... Or, give herself more time to figure out just what the hell is going on. On the other hand, she could say yes, start rumors and scare Kato into hiding. "I don't know." Was all she could say, before she pulled the bright green and cream robes around her tighter and glanced at Gizzy... Before throwing her arms around her and huggling her close. "You are a godsend sometimes. -insert superhyperhappysquee here-"
"C-Carter? It's a bit early to be up and about, don't you think?" Tanya had been surprised to see another human up this early in the morning. Greg, she hadn't minded waking up and disturbing, it was her job. She even had a plaque.
The Most Annoying Person To Greg Award Goes To:
TANYA GUATHIE!
Made by none-other then her favorite female student, Vynny. Ah, the simplest things in life were free. Once more Tanya glanced at Carter. "Dear, the screaming was coming from the students' dorms. The girls I believe." She didn't believe, she knew, and she also knew that it was Vynny who had screamed. And Tanya wasn't hurrying because she knew that it wasn't as big of an emergency as it could be. "Carter, quit knocking on random doors and just follow us if you want. We're almost there." Tawny glanced at the open girl's dorm door and sighed.

¬¬¬ Danny ¬¬¬ Yes, girl. She's evidently quite surprised to have me explode in like I did. Well, who wouldn't be? I'm glad that she recovers fast enough to answer me without making me try to glean insight into what's happened by myself. I hate surprises. She's a pretty enough creature, but quite distressed and tense. But, yet, in the back of her sound, is this sort of... Acceptance? No. Recognition? Perhaps. That creeps me out more than anything else, that feeling of knowing, understanding more than I do. One slender hand is wrapped around my arm, which is probably why I can hear her so clearly, I think to myself. Then she speaks. Ah. French. Interesting. I hadn't placed her as French. Maybe because I hadn't been placing her. That makes a pleasant change. "I'm sorry for bumping into you," I say, deciding to be blunt now and avoid awkwardness later. "You're not really in the way. I'm just blind, and my hearing's gone off-kilter." Let her make of that what she will. But then she explains what's going on, and all scant feelings of satisfaction and normality flee from my mind. "Gone? Just like that? Are... Are you sure?" I wish I could say something, do something to help. But she's moving away already, and I'm not the best with people. This is horrible. Dreadful. It's like... Going back to Oxford, where I'd wake up in the middle of the night to find my mother gone, and find her two days later in a seedy bar, her hair dyed a different colour and a bullet wound in her back. At least I knew what was going on then. Right now... I don't know what to make of this. I close my eyes (Yeah, like that's going to help), and make a real effort to force out the sounds of panic and fury and loss in the room. Maybe I can still hear her passage... No. No, it's a futile attempt. The sounds, the clamour have erased any echo, any little trace I might have latched onto. Maybe the hall... Not there, either. Too many people coming and going. Too much panic. I do catch something else, though... "Erm, guys? The teachers have arrived," I call into the chaotic room, a small time before the tutors are visible. Oh, we are going to be in such... Marx Why does the world hate him? That's all that Marx is capable of thinking on any day and 3:00 am. Because no sane person should be awake at that time. Blearily, the teacher rubs his eyes, in his room that smells like old books and older relics, Africa and South America and Asia, and, most recently, good Columbian coffee. He can't. Can't muster the energy to get up, face the day. All he can hear is Church. Church... It's not like him to hate someone without even having a conversation with them, but everything about that teacher, from his drawling, obnoxious tone to his coffee-stealing ways, grate on the affable man's last nerve. All he wants to do right now is take his very large, very solid wooden tribal mask, and take Church's smug, unshaved face, and... Temper man, temper. He groans, and shoves his head back under his pillow. He can hear the Tanya woman now, too. So it's not just the a-hole. There's something going on. He's a teacher. It's his responsibility to go and check what's going on. He's also new, and has no idea if this is regular school practice, if he'll have to do this, Sun forbid, every single morning, or if it's a matter of urgency. Was there anything about this in his contract? He can't remember. Right now, his mind's just taken up with an image of a screaming kid in 60s clothing, her face pale, green things... Well that was ominous. The man sits up, grumbling about cruel and unfair punishments, and starts reaching around for one of his many cases containing still-unpacked clothing. He'll go there. He will. He knows he has to. But he'll take his sweet time getting there...

Carter chuckled as the other teachers called him, and came running. "Hey, wait up! I'm kinda slow!" Carter exclaimed, speeding past them, his powers kicking in. He was simply waiting, watching, looking for the terrible, or as Cleveland Brown would say turrible source of that noise. The sweat seemed to simply drop from the air behind him, as he ran, checking on everyone, making sure they were ok. "You ok? Good" "everyone ok here? All right, good" Carter spoke, knocking on doors, saying something of the ilk every time. He eventually reached the right door, and BURST in, knocking the door off it's hinges. "Hey, Everyone in here o... Hey, you guys ok?" Carter stopped, and then restarted his sentences, seeing the people all congregated in the room. He saw Greg, and his face dropped. The humanities teacher never came up here, and he wondered why there was an unconcious boy on the floor.
"Someone care to tell me what happened here? and Greg, why the Fawk are you here? Something's happening, and I want to know what. I didn't stop my run short just for nothing, so there had better either be a missing student, a dead superstar, or Robert Pattinson here. The last one is just cause I want to split his face so much. Oh, or Stephanie Meyer, She'd be fun to punch too. I mean REALLY! VAMPIRES DON"T SPARKLE PEOPLE! Ugh, such idiocy, anyway. Back to matters at hand, who's missing, or why am I up here?" Carter started going off on one of his famous rants, and no one was stopping him. He chuckled, and cracked his knuckles, then backflipped. He wasn't about to let his heart rate drop just cause he had to deal with some stupid student going away.

"Brie Ainsworth has gone missing."
The comment was hushed and subtle, but it had a foreboding ring to it that would possibly send chills down the gathered people's spines.
The speaker, whose name just happened to be Cinder, stood silently behind Carter, leaning against the wall. Her long curls of mousy blond hair fell in ringlets around her face, obscuring a small portion of the scar that marred her once-beauty. She was dressed in what she usually did- a long-sleeved black sweater; loose, dark brown leather pants and a pair of duct-taped converses. Her right arm hung limply at her side, her hand covered by a black glove. She was leaning most of her weight onto her left leg, the uninjured one.
"She is in grave danger, and the Headmaster is not who you believe him to be."
She didn't know much, but she had Future Sight, and as she'd been messing with Space again, and one of the things she'd done had triggered a particularly gruesome Sight.
"She may die if she isn't helped."

"Well then, what are we waiting for? And why are all you guys standing around? Oh, and thanks for the tip." Carter spoke in a hushed voice, then jumped out the window, slowing himself as he descended to the ground. He chuckled to himself, smiling at their innocence. As he hit the ground, a hand clamped over his mouth. "The Equini need their leader back. I'm the one who's supposed to bring him to the meeting." The voice was deep and gravely, and Carter felt a small silver blade at his back. It was Sundown. The mercenary of the Equini, or at least what was left of it. "hey, you don't need to tell me twice, but I've gotta search for a stu" Carter was cut off by the sudden teleportation to the Equini Cave somewhere in the Appalachian Mountains.
