Ash climbed up a bookshelf. He got to the top and grabbed a book. He opened it and started looking through it. "You hear?" Some in the next aisle said. Ash put the book back and climbed up abit and leaned over to hear the two talking.
"In the middle of the night she disappeared. Noone's seen her since."
"I don't believe it. She wasn't even here a week why would she disappear?"
"I don't know but everytime someone asks they change the subject."
Ash dropped down and looked around. He started walking through the library. Someone else is missing? Wierd. He thought to himself. Maybe i can do some snooping around later tonight. He smiled and put his hands in his pockets.

Lauren walked around the library, knowing she had to do something to occupy her time. A great book is should do that, right? The girl sighed, unsure of how even half these books could interest anyone. She slipped her thumbs in her jean pockets, resting the rest of her fingers over the pocket as she twisted her mouth. 'I'm not going to find anything.' She thought to herself, a grumble escaping through her lips.
The girl made her way, through the library, no book title actually sticking out to her. Of course, there weren't many things that interested Lauren, and if there is something, it probably wouldn't be found in a library. 'Why am I still here? This place seems abandoned.' She thought to herself before hearing the footsteps of a stranger, almost jumping out of her own skin.
Laurens mind automatically reacted for her, two books that were around, already being in the air and attacking the stranger. Once she got a good look, she covered her mouth, the books dropping on the floor next to his feet. "I-I'm so sorry!" She bit her lip, hoping the books didn't hurt him. Sometimes, she wasn't completely in control of her powers and when she was scared, her mind would try to defend.

Libraries are the best place to practise your nerdy instrument. I know this by experience. Why libraries? Because almost every librarian has a strange fixation with classical music. It's expected. No normal teenager will notice that Brahms' work has suddenly gotten more detail and perception than usual. So what you do is, you carry your instrument in, with your hands full of books, disguising the tell-tale box. Then you sit next to a speaker far away from where anyone is working. Thi acts as a back-up. If someone comes over, it will seem like the speaker was making the noise. It couldn't have been you, after all! After a while, you become very good at hiding your instrument away quickly. Yes. I've been doing this a long time.
I've been in the library about two hours. Since my violin has only recently been fixed (which my hoarse voice is in evidence of), I need to adjust myself to the new sound.. Egg whites and sellotape change the whole dynamic of the action and the output sound. My room has terrible acoustics, and there's too much of a chance of a roomie arriving, and catching me. I hate when anyone listens to me play. It terrifies me.I feel bad for breaking my violin in the first place. That was stupid of me. Usually, I'm more thorough than this. I would have spent longer accutoming myself, except I got distracted.
I'm busy listening to two people talking across the room. Everyone at this school has their talents. Sound happens to be mine. People underestimate just how much I can do. I'm glad. Makes things easier. They're talking about a disappearance. I wonder what they mean. I should probably page Mom about that. She'd like to know. No, no, bad idea. I shake my head viciously. Remember the school bully? No. Not quite yet. Later, maybe. I wonder... Is this disappearing a common thing? Maybe I should hold my own investigations...
Then something strikes me. A raised heart-rate, not one of the speakers. Closer. Then whoever it is starts running. Alarmed, and possibly a little paranoid after what I've just heard, I leap up, bow still clutched in my fist. I dash out of my little corner, eyes wide. I turn, and see the girl, her back towards me, her weapons dropped. "Are you..." I begin, my voice far huskier, painfully so, than usual. I try to stop, slip, and slide fast. I can see exactly what's going to happen. My feet will crash into her ankles. She'll fly into her attacker, and they'll both land on me. I shut my eyes, no time to cry out, awaiting impact.
