Details

Entry Way

Door opens inward into a small square area of bare concrete flooring. This area has one small ceiling light, usually always on. The switches for the lights in the entryway and main room are on a panel to the right of the door (it is hidden when open). There is a mat for shoes to rest and a coat rack in the lower corner. At the top there is a single step that leads into the main room.

Main Room

Walls – Light pink. Barren and without poster holes or other such live-in marks.
Floor – Hardwood, aged but polished, oak.
Bed 1 – Used to be parallel to window, now is side by side with Bed 2 to form a King sized super bed. It is covered with a dark blue quilt patterned with light blue and grey spots varying in size and shade. A fashionable pattern.
Bed 2 – Used to be on the left-hand wall where the work desk is now.
Adornments – Pink curtains with simple flower pattern, small round white faux fur rug at foot of bed, one houseplant, computer desk and spinning chair. The computer desk is empty except for a small pile of paper used for school work, a notebook, and a few pens and standard number two pencils. Presently there is no computer here.

Kitchen

Small and simple. Has all the appliances on the lower wall with one makeshift portable cupboard near the entry and a small table and two chairs tucked to the left-hand side near the fridge. There is not enough room to open the fridge all the way if someone is sitting in the other chair. Dishes must be washed in the sink by hand as there is no dishwasher. The kitchen is open to the rest of the room with only a small four-foot tall mock wall divider which doubles as just another place to put down a phone, cups, or other such things, most of the time.

Notes

There is no bathroom or laundry area. Students in this room must borrow the main facilities as needed.

Issues

Electrical power has gone out in the kitchen area, but no calls to have it fixed it have been issued. It remains unused by its tenant.

Hm. I'm glad nein is the only German word I know other wise I'd be most confused, but six no's... Really? Alrighty then.

Do you mean squishing everything down to one lone paragraph (four to five lines?) or my lapses in judgment upon the finer details? Specifically. (Both is an option I suppose.)

Either way...

Normal Dorm- Has two beds, a bureau for the girls clothing, a small kitchen area, a large mirror, but no bathroom.

That would be the only sort of description I had to go off of when writing my claim. Additionally, I believe the only real rule when describing things said "you get to make the room look however you want to". I did just that. No where does it say that things are or are not divided by walls and if there was an entryway or not. Going off of how most suites look like something to that effect; I chose to pursue a more artistic approach to my creative writing here. Forgive me.

I just don't think it was very clear, given no other resources, what exactly the format of the room looks like. That's just my opinion of course. Also, I wouldn't say the kitchen or the entryway are separate rooms because there are no doors between them. I will concede however that perhaps that wall can be taken down into something more akin to a divider (aka a wall with a window a four-foot "half" wall as it were) since you raised a valid point. Still, I have never seen any room that is both living space and kitchen space just completely open. I'll be honest, I have no idea how that would even work.

Also about the kitchen area being...too large? Well, I'd say it looks very cramped to me...but I seem to be off on this entire thing so what do I know? What constitutes a kitchen anyway? What appliances make up the normal kitchen in comparison to the larger ones? I did not see anything of the sort to tell me that either. So what could I do? I did the best with what I had. I'm sorry it was in err.

Clearly this is a case of my inability to read minds as I cannot seem to picture from just one line of details how an entire dormitory room is supposed to look. Perhaps, if I may be so bold as to say, it would be better if you made your own room maps showing the detailed layout, dimensions, un/accepted furnishings, etc, etc. That way all anyone has to do is set the coloring of certain things. You know, rather than try and picture entire dimensions in their head as I was mistakingly doing. What I was attempting with my description here was to expand upon the template I was given, as by definition they are mere starting points after all.

As for my making a note of the lack of facilities... And most assuredly it was not an "issue" I merely lumped the categories together in an effort to avoid tabbing down another section. That has been modified, by the way. I was merely expanding upon the description in case anyone came across this page without knowing, or remembering that whole room systems. It might not be assumed by everyone you know and perhaps that was a reminder for me. Who knows, right?

Silver, stop smartassing staff members. What we say goes. And I don't think you have any authority saying if anyone can or can't room with you, either.

And no, there doesn't have to be any divider, since I have seen instances where there weren't any.

Don't thank us for 'our time regarding this matter', because it was a complete waste of three minutes of our lives. ^^
