Twenty years have wrought many changes to the Academy. Following Xavier's death, Wolverine stayed to watch over Rogue and the other students but disappeared after they matured and graduated. Storm continued to teach for a while until she was drawn to Africa and her family there. And so the school was left in the capable hands of a new generation.
Though times have changed and mutants are secretly becoming more integrated into society, there are still those who hate them with a passion: who wish nothing more than to rid the world of them. The 'miracle cure' developed twenty years ago was ineffective; its effects fading after only a few months. Now mutants risk their lives by revealing themselves to the world.
The mansion remains a safe haven for those wanting to live a good and safe life away from the persecution of the world around them. There, mutants are still trained to use their powers properly and responsibly. The X-men still exist as an established group and symbolize the growing need for mutant rights. Not that the 'normal' people of the world necessarily see it that way. In places the X-men are still perceived as a threat to society and are still treated with distrust. There is an uneasy truce between the worlds of humans and mutants.
The Brotherhood thrives under the continued leadership of Magneto, and still causes havoc throughout the world. They will do anything in their power to rid the world of non-mutants; believing that mutants are the supreme race and that the world belongs to them.
Where will you stand? Will you join with the X-men and reclaim a world where mutants and non-mutants can live in peace or will you join the Brotherhood to fight for the destruction of non-mutant kind?
The fight continues here
