PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION
Diesel has no patience for stupid people, or people he thinks haven't had as many hardships as him. He's a real softie at heart, and he can make a ton of jokes through sherades. Actually, Diesel acts like a loner, since he can't communicate directly with others, but he's the guy who'll glomptackle you if you're his friend. He is sincere when given the chance, and makes his point through action rather than speech, since he has no other choice. But because Diesel is a mute, he's been led to believe that he's not as good as other people. This is the cause for his Borderline Personality Disorder. Some of the symptoms he faces are recurring suicidal behavior and threats, emotional instability and stress-related paranoid delusions. However, his disorder is only mild, so the symptoms do not suface as much as they did when he had first lost his voice. But because of his affection and powers connected to animals, he finds comfort when he's with them. But if Diesel's with people, he remains distant and hardly noticed.

ABILITY
Speech through animals. // Animal manipulation.
Since Diesel's a mute, he likes to project his voice through an animal. Diesel has an affinity for animals, and can make them do chores, tasks, and even talk for him. He projects his thoughts and wills into a nearby creature, and, in a way, overshadows it. In fact, because when his ability to control animals surfaced, he'd lost his voice as payment. So, since he's practiced on his own to talk through animals, it works out like this: Diesel thinks of something to say, and his thoughts come through the mouth of the animal, lip-syncing all the way. While Diesel is able to control what the animal says for him, the animal is responsible for the tone, accent, and character for the voice which it wields.
STRENGTHS
When deliberately taking control of the actions the creature does, Diesel is able to sustain his power over it for at least half an hour, and hold it for a maximum of one hour. He has a fifteen minute period before reusing the ability. The capacity for the ability of speech through animals lasts his lifetime.
WEAKNESSES
He can only speak when he is near an animal. If he overuses the ability heavily (as in 3-5 hours), he suffers from severe migrains, and can be unstable enough for him to suffer the symptoms from his Borderline Personality Disorder.
HISTORY
Diesel was born into a wealthy family, with his mother and father driving him around. Diesel was your average B-plus student in school, but he was never allowed to hang out with his friends after class because his parents were extremely strict with him. He was taught things most boys couldn't afford, yet Diesel hated it all. His parents treated him lower than dirt, believing that he was only a mere “accident” in their life as a happy couple. They only spoke to him when he needed reprimanding, or rather when they thought he needed to be punished when in reality it was for no good reason.
They both hated him.
When he turned seven, that was when he began giving up on things; Grades, interest in life, friends, family, but especially himself. This was when he talked less and less to others around him, isolating himself and keeping from feeling anything at all. Because of his lack of enthusiasm and spirit, Diesel's classmates and peers were all beginning to believe that he was mentally deficient, when in reality he was just distraught and suffering from slight depression. He was tipping towards becoming suicidal at an early age, and when his mother died when he turned ten, he began carrying a pocket knife with him everywhere, just in case everything went wrong for him in his life. By eighth grade, Diesel didn't have any friends, or anyone to talk to, not even his spiteful father.
But then things took a deeper turn.
At the climax of Diesel's suicidal emotions, he was caught in a fight with his father over how he should be living his life, or rather the way his father wanted Diesel to live. But in the middle of it all, when Diesel was about to yell back at him, he found no voice inside him. Instead, the family's parrot squawked a death threat to Diesel's father, much to both of the Hunt's horrors. Soon after, his father didn't speak to him any longer, and put Diesel in ESL and rehabilitation sessions (even though he didn't need the second of the two).
By the time Diesel was eighteen, he was sent to America in a plane by his father, and he didn't care to say goodbye or let his son know where he was going. Diesel was left with a large sum of money, and he eventually made his way over to Brookings in five months of walking out of his former life. He enrolled, and discovered that he wasn't the only one out there who was a freak.
