PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
When compared to the "average Joe," Lux is thinner and can run faster, and he's a little acrobatic, too. Despite the fact that he isn't as strong or as brawny as the average guy, he's more flexible. Lux's hair is dirty-blonde, and it's long enough for him to tie the back of it into a very short, very pathetic ponytail. He likes to keep his hair scruffy and spiky instead of neatly combed, 'cause he thinks it's just a waste of time to fix it every five minutes. Lux also has a reputation of speaking "semi-broken" English with a distinct Italian accent. He sounds a lot like Basshunter, but more Italian-ish, not Scandanavian. However his Italian voice is just like the lead singer in "Anima Libera" by EMI.
Lux wears an array of "Grunge-themed" clothes, and most of them are band shirts he bought with his own money here at Brtookshire. As you know, Lux is a foreigner, so he doesn't know the unwritten laws of guys wearing pink clothing. It's good that his self-esteem is high, though. Anyways, he usually wears a band shirt, a pair of jeans, his black, worn-out converse (only on weekends). Plus, he's got a pair of tan, fingerless gloves which come in handy when he's working on a repair job or out and about on the streets. But since this is Brookshire, he'll be wearing his usual class attire: A maroon-colored dress shirt, a white tie and white dress pants.
MAIN LANGUAGE: Lux's main language is Italian. However, he also has a reputation for speaking "semi-broken" English with a distinct, Napolitan accent.
OCCUPATION: Wannabe Car Designer, but he works part-time as a mechanic at a local Gulf gas station.
CLASS: Honors.
YEAR ATTENDING: First.
PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION
Lux is more like the adorable 10-year-old than a 19-year-old at heart. He's bright when it comes to technology, cars, some street smarts, math proportions and chemistry and plenty more school stuff, but not much else (like fashion). Repairing cars and small gambles among his friends seem to be just a few of his hobbies. More of the type who shrugs insults off rather than face them straight on, he is carefree, and is relieved that he can finish homework in a dramatically shorter time period. Suffice to say, he does like to get into trouble because of the free time he has, though he never wants to admit it.
He's modest, and yet he absolutely loves attention. He doesn't like to go after it, but when temptation is just too good, he goes for it and just likes to be pushed around and watched by others in a friendly, joking way. Lux may be sarcastic, but he's a completely honest guy unless the time calls for him to lie, which he's good at, too. He isn't much of a flirt, and doesn't really like the conversation to revolve around him, and so he resembles more of the random, smart guy around girls. What he doesn't know is that the girls think he's quite gorgeous on the outside.
Ordinarily, Lux has little to no temper, but he likes to whine a lot and toss a wild punch in the gut when he doesn't get his way. Loud, semi-obnoxious and someone who does not like thinking before acting, he isn't cut out for a proper stealth operation. Although he isn't the best leader, he can often produce plans that involve putting the strong points of the people/friends involved to good use, and is more of a team player. He is carefree and often can come up with capricious ideas that others will wind up following. That's why he's the "cavalry" or foreman in any group. On the other hand, he's good at charging straight into things without planning, so he's the man who can lead a platoon of guys into enemy territory. Being competitive is one of his most constant traits, though only in sports. He does not get aggressive to the point where he does anything and everything possible in his power to crush the enemy, but he can be a sore loser and a foulmouth.
Lux can be gullible, capricious, and naive, and he has a habit of trusting complete strangers, which eventually will lead him to regret his kindness. Lux is also much more polite than obnoxious on normal days. He is really quite emotional at heart, with a little wild flare to the mix. Lux is never selfish, but will tend to obsess over his Vespa and his favorite kinds of cars and things. He tends to be fierce in competitions that involve physical strength, and strives for the gold, but usually shows good sportsmanship. Lux is what you'd call a "people person," since he can make anybody laugh and feel better from the best joke to the most completely random comment. Lux has luck on his side almost all the time, so it isn't normal for him to be in a bad mood. What is typical for him on any given day is for him to be naturally carefree, semi-hyperactive and full of sarcasm.

WHICH: Future.
HISTORY
About four years ago, only when he was getting used to his smarts and still in Italy, he had awful nightmares. They started with images, fragments of murders that he would see in the news a week later...
But the first true nightmare with his sight, he had seen a woman screeching her lungs out and tied to a chair. A dark figure came in with a child, and a knife at his throat. As soon as the blade was plunged into the tender flesh the woman's screams were unbearable and Lux snapped open his eyes...still asleep. As his mind wheeled and ached, he began to screech as the woman did and laugh as the dark figure did as well; making him become more maniacal and ax crazy by the minute.
His parents down the corridor of the home heard him, and his mother approached Lux and asked him what was wrong. Upon sensing her, Lux did not reply and instead stared blankly for a long while, eyes devoid of any hint of good nature. A second later he hurled a lamp at her, and screamed in rage. His mother had no clue as to what was going on while her husband comforted her, and told her that as long as they stayed out of his reach, they would be fine.
Until the first rays of light crept through the windows, Lux continued his merciless rampage, destroying everything in his way. As soon as he passed the large window in the hall, he woke up, rubbing the sleep from his eyes as the last of his horrible shouts died away.
STRENGTHS
Strong and active only when he's sleeping. Not all of the dreams are violent, or concern murder; some involve love.
WEAKNESSES
Doesn't happen when he's awake, and doesn't happen often while he is asleep. Can be destructive when a particularly violent vision is seen. Can cause harm to others while sleepwalking/sleep-rampaging. Cannot tell the difference between friend or foe while in a violent trance.
OTHER ABILITIES
Two words: Increased. Intelligence.
Lux doesn't like to show off his smarts; he feels that it's just not him. Though, really, he has an extremely high IQ (134) for a boy of nineteen. So, it's no wonder he can keep his GPA at a maximum and finish all of his honors work for tomorrow in two hours or less (only when he's alone and there are no distractions, which is quite rare because friends are always an awesome distraction).
But just about the only thing his intelligence can't fix is his English.
His intelligence is only a side effect of his future sight; in other words, he has only an "echo" of what happened to him in his sleepwalks. Usually he has no definite recollection of things after a 5-minute time span immediately after the vision. In otherwords, he only has five minutes to tell/remember what happened in the vision before he forgets completely. This leads to him writing these horrible things down in a "black book" he keeps with him at all times in a locked compartment of one of his suitcases.
HISTORY
For the most part, Lux has lived in Italy until he was 19. He was born and raised in Naples, in the region of Campania. His parents were loving, kind, generous, notoriously well-mannered, et cetera. The Gliero family was quite respected, had plenty of money, and had close ties to the church. His mother and father never wanted to flaunt their money, although the villa on the coast of Naples was kept tidy and elegant; teetering on the brim of luxurious. Lux's mother, being a religious woman, named him so after her mother died a few days before she was sent into the maternity ward. Lux is the word for "light" in the old Latin tongue, and so she just stuck with that, for she liked originality.
Throughout his childhood, tween and teenage years, his parents just didn't stop at anything to make sure their son was a pure gentleman, not after what most drunks on the streets were after (coughcoughSEX&STUFFcough). So, he was kept under a close watch, his friends were filtered and Lux was made sure to cover his ears if he heard any "bad words" from his friends or anyone else. He still had fun, though; since he was well-behaved. In fact, he'd gone to Liguria, Corsica, Venice, Rome, and The Alps (on a few skiing occasions) all before Brookshire.
So, Lux lived in a benign world. The outcome? A freakishly tall, smart, spazzy Italian fool who's afraid of most, uh, adult..."things."
Come to think of it, Lux has never seen a Playboy Magazine.
Anyways, moving on...
He was taken to school and lectured through kindergarten through highschool up until college. He excelled especially in classes that involved engineering and physics. Lux wanted to learn how to build and design cars for a living for when he was older, although he wanted to be able to do it in America where there would be more imported supplies and the competition would be less rough. He had to take a few second-language courses in order to make sure he understood English. He still speaks English with an unmerciful accent, and speaks Italian when necessary, or when he'd rather curse.
Lux took a 6-hour long plane ride to the JFK in New York, and then took a few more plane rides until he reached Brookings. By then, he took a cab and confirmed the paperwork for Brookshire Academy at the start of this summer. He made sure everything was checked out and ready until school began again. Earlier in the summer, Lux earned a job at the local Gulf gas station, both repairing cars and manning the small general store at the station. He was paid well enough for him to buy what he'd always wanted, even in Naples: a genuine, imported, red Vespa. He's had good times with the moped, and he'll continue the joyrides with it until summer's over.
